The Breakouts Screen is most useful when searching for:
- Momentum trades
- Trend continuation trades
- New trend reversals
- Relative strength opportunities
Strategy 1: Trading Bullish Breakouts
Goal
Find instruments pushing into new highs.
Workflow
- Open Breakouts tab
- Select Daily timeframe
- Sort by Chg% or W%
- Focus on:
- Positive W%
- Positive D%
- Positive 4h%
- Positive 1h%
- Open the chart
- Confirm the breakout
- Plan entries near breakout retests
Example
EUR/NZD appears with:
- Breakout above resistance
- Positive weekly trend
- Positive daily trend
- Positive intraday momentum
Potential interpretation:
- Strong buying pressure
- Trend continuation opportunity
Strategy 2: Trading Bearish Breakdowns
Goal
Find instruments showing increasing selling pressure.
Workflow
- Open Breakdowns tab
- Select Daily timeframe
- Sort by weakest performers
- Look for:
- Negative W%
- Negative D%
- Negative 4h%
- Negative 1h%
- Confirm breakdown
- Wait for pullback
- Look for bearish continuation setups
Example
NZD/USD appears with:
- Weekly weakness
- Daily weakness
- Intraday weakness
- Trading below support
Potential interpretation:
- Sellers remain in control
- Bearish continuation opportunity
Strategy 3: Trend Continuation Scans
Not every breakout starts a new trend.
Many simply continue an existing trend.

The strongest breakouts are often found in the strongest markets.
The weakest breakdowns are often found in the weakest markets.
