Understanding the Columns

Learn how to interpret every column in the Breakout Screener.

The Breakouts and Breakdowns tables contain several columns that help evaluate the strength of a move.

Symbol

The instrument currently experiencing a breakout or breakdown.

Examples:

  • EUR/AUD
  • GBP/NZD
  • USD/JPY
  • AUD/USD

Last

The latest traded price.

This allows traders to compare current price against the breakout level.


Chg and Chg%

Chg

Raw price movement.

LastChange

Chg%

Percentage movement.

Higher values generally indicate stronger momentum.


Brk Lvl

The most important column in the screen.

This is the support or resistance level that price has crossed.

Breakdown Example

Price is trading below the breakdown level.

The farther price moves away from the breakout level, the more confirmation traders typically receive.


Multi-Timeframe Performance

Strong Bullish Example

This indicates:

  • Weekly trend is bullish
  • Daily trend is bullish
  • Intraday momentum remains positive

Strong Bearish Example

  • Daily weakness
  • Intraday weakness

Chart

The sparkline chart provides a quick visual representation of recent price behavior.

Green Charts

Typically indicate:

  • Upward momentum
  • Bullish continuation
  • Healthy breakout structure

Red Charts

Typically indicate:

  • Downward momentum
  • Bearish continuation
  • Healthy breakdown structure
