Price Crossovers Screener

The Price Crossovers screener finds instruments whose price has just crossed above or below a configured moving average, split by direction.

The Price Crossovers screener identifies instruments whose price has recently crossed above or below a configured moving average: a widely-used signal for trend changes and momentum shifts.

What It Does

Results are split into two tabs:

  • Crossing Up: instruments where price has crossed above the moving average (bullish signal)
  • Crossing Down: instruments where price has crossed below the moving average (bearish signal)

The screener displays the moving average value alongside the current price, so you can see how far price has moved from the average and whether the crossover has momentum behind it.

Common Uses

  • Identifying early trend reversals
  • Confirming breakout signals with momentum
  • Finding pullback entries where price has recovered above a moving average
  • Screening for trend-following setups across multiple timeframes

Example

An index that has been trading below its EMA(20) rallies and closes above it. It appears in the Crossing Up tab. Checking the D% and 4h% columns confirms whether momentum is aligned with the crossover signal.
